Wayne Boyd, from Gleneagles Gardens in Dundonald, was accused of being one of two masked men who stole £600 cash and £450-worth of cigarettes from the Ravenscroft Avenue shop on the evening of October 14, 2014.

The man who had been robbed followed the two men after they fled and gave police a description of the make, model and registration number of a car parked on a nearby street.

Boyd was stopped in his vehicle two days later. While he told police his car may have been in the area around the time of the incident, he denied he had anything do with with the robbery.
