Firework sparked Ballymena security alert
A security operation in Ballymena ended last night after the suspicious object at the centre of the alert was found to be a firework.
A PSNI spokesman said Army technical officiers examined the “suspicious object discovered in the area of Cambridge Avenue and declared it to be a firework”.
“This has now been removed for further examination,” he added.
All roads in area reopened shortly before 9pm last night.
