Fresh appeal for information on Falls Road crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after an eight-year-old schoolgirl was among a number of others injured when a stolen car collided with a number of other vehicles on Falls Road in Belfast last night.

The silver Vauxhall Zafira, which had been stolen during a creeper burglary in nearby Servia Street, collided with three other vehicles close to Broadway on the cityside at around 8pm.

At least three males in their late teens or early twenties were spotted running from the Zafira immediately after the collision.

Several people, including an eight-year-old girl, were taken to hospital for treatment however none of their injuries were described as serious or life threatening.

Inspector Kelly Moore is appealing for anyone with information, or who can identify the individuals who fled the scene, to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
