Good entry of quality cattle at Downpatrick

At the weekly cattle sale on Monday night 25th January 2016, there was a good entry of quality store cattle.

A Ballynahinch farmer topped the sale with a Lim bullock at 334kg £730(2.19ppk).

HEIFERS: Ballynahinch farmer 280kg Lim £635 (2.27ppk) and 340kg CH £650 (1.91ppk), Castlewellan farmer 350kg AA £645 (1.84ppk), Drumaroad farmer 292kg Lim £500 (1.71ppk) and 292kg Lim £490 (1.68ppk), Annadorn farmer 248kg Lim £410 (1.65ppk) and Clough farmer 530kg CH £840 (1.59ppk) and 472kg CH £740 (1.57ppk) and 490kg CH £685 (1.40ppk) and Downpatrick farmer 512kg CH £715 (1.40ppk).

At the weekly sheep sale on Saturday 23rd January 2016, fat lambs sold to £92.50 and fat ewes to £74.00.
