Charity Car Show, Slieve Donard Hotel Newcastle, January 24-26 The annual vintage, classic and sports car show returns to the Slieve Donard Hotel at the end of the month. Highlights will include Colin Turkington’s BMW in whichhe won the 2014 British Touring Car Championship. Adding to the glamour will be a 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 2 once owned by British actress of the 1950s and 60s Diana Dors. This unique indoor show is run by County Down car enthusiasts and attracts thousands of visitors over the course of the weekend. Now in its 26th year the show continues to donate all proceeds to Cancer Research UK. Admission is £5 for adults and £2 for children under 12. Opening times are 2pm to 10pm (Friday), 10am to 10pm (Saturday) and 10am to 5pm (Sunday).

Belfast Gin School, House, Botanic Avenue Belfast, January 25 Through experiential learning, with Master Distiller, Ian, you will have the opportunity to see gin being distilled! Learn about flavour combinations and what makes gin, gin. Then give it a go and make your own, Beverage Director, Soda, will serve up three signature serves of unique gin cocktails. Each participant will receive a goodie bag containing their own miniature bottle of gin.
