Intruder attacks woman in south Belfast house

A woman has been attacked by an intruder in a house in south Belfast.

It happened on Sunday in Beit Street, near the City Hospital, at about 6am.

The male intruder entered the house, threatened the woman (who is in her 50s and disabled), then assaulted her.

He fled the scene on a bicycle along the rear alleyway.

He was described as being around 6ft tall with short dark hair and was wearing a white hooded top.

The woman was treated for shock and facial injuries.
