Irish Ladies Flyfishing Team win Silver at Ladies Flyfishing International in Scotland.

The Home Internationals for Ladies Flyfishing was held at Carron Valley Reservoir, in Scotland last week and Ireland came second.

The contest between Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland was won by the host nation - Scotland as claimed the Bob Church Trophy after catching 71 fish.

Ireland came second with 49 fish and won the K Club Trophy, England in third place with 40 fish and Wales taking home the Wooden Spoon Conservation Trophy with 35 fish.

The largest trout of the week was caught on one of the practice days by Portadown Lady Angler Liz Dermott, Liz caught a 12lb rainbow trout on an Irish simulator fly by Fulling Mill Flytying Company.

Next year’s Home International for Ladies Flyfishing will be hosted by Ireland on Lough Melvin, from Garrision, Co. Fermanagh.
