Latest: GAA club in Moy badly damaged in arson attack

A GAA club in south Tyrone has been badly damaged in an arson attack on Sunday night.

Police say the fire at the Moy club on the Benburb Road was reported before 11pm.

“Police and NIFRS attended and the fire was extinguished,” said a police spokesperson.

“Extensive damage was caused to the building as a result of the fire.”

Detective Inspector Will Tate is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Cookstown Police Station on 101.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
