Man, 29, dies following June motocrycle crash

A man in his 20s has died following a motorcycle crash that happened last month, the PSNI has confirmed.

He has been named as 29-year-old Alan McCullough, from Newtownabbey.

The crash happened in his home town on June 22.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: Police can confirm a man has died from his injuries following a road traffic collision in Newtownabbey on Monday, 22 June.

“29 year-old Alan McCullough from Newtownabbey was riding a motorcycle when he was involved in the one-vehicle collision on Church Road, which was reported just before 6.35am

“He was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries following the collision, but he sadly passed away from his injuries last night (Tuesday, 7th July).”

PSNI Inspector David Burns is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured dash cam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 249 of 22/06/20.
