Man arrested in Grimsby due in Londonderry court on drugs charges

A man arrested in the Grimsby area of Lincolnshire is due to appear at court in Londonderry on Friday in connection with drugs offences.

The 41-year-old man was detained on Wednesday as part of a PSNI investigation.

Detective Inspector Pete Mullan from Reactive and Organised Crime, said: “He is charged with encouraging or assisting offences linked to the supply of class A drugs and money laundering.”

Police have said that one tonne of benzocaine, which can be used as a bulking agent for cocaine, was uncovered in the Grimsby area in searches conducted with assistance from Humberside police.
