Man due in court on ammunitition and weapon charges
A man arrested following the search of a car in the Mayo Street area of north Belfast on Thursday is due in court today, charged with the possessing ammuniition and an offensive weapon.
A police spokesperson said: “Police in north Belfast have charged a 39-year-old man with a number of offences including possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstances, possession of an offensive weapon and driving whilst disqualified.
“He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 10th March. As is normal procedure the charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
