Man remains critical in hospital after weekend assault

A 32-year-old remains critical in hospital after he was assaulted in the Templemore Avenue area of East Belfast.

Detectives continue to investigate the report of an assault around 2.30am on March 6.

A PSNI spokesman said he remains in hospital for treatment to his injuries where is condition is currently described as critical.

Detective Inspector Joanne Harris said: “Police would like to speak to a male person who was reportedly in the area in and around the time this assault took place (approximately between 2.15am/2.30am), as he may have information which would help with police enquiries.

“He is described as being approximately 6’2”, broad shoulders of medium to heavy build, short light brown/fair hair and clean shaven and wearing a knee length coat.

“I would ask this person or anyone else who may have information to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime, Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.”
