Man's body found at side of road near Coalisland

A body was found lying at the side of the road in the early hours of this morning.

He was found at Mountjoy Road at Killeen Village near Coalisland.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death at this stage.

Inspector Neil Beck said, “The man’s body was found lying in the road at around 4am this morning. We are currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and I would appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area in the early hours of this morning and who may have noticed anything which could assist us with our enquiries to contact police in Dungannon on 101.”

Mountjoy Road remains closed at the crossroads with Coole Road and Lisaclare Road.
