Hide AdThe prime minister, 55, was admitted to hospital in London with “persistent symptoms” on Sunday evening.
The Queen has been kept informed about Mr Johnson’s health by No 10, according to Buckingham Palace.
His rapid health decline has been met with shock by NI politicians - including deputy First Minister Michelle O’Neill.
In a Tweet she said: “Wishing Boris Johnson and all those battling Covid 19 every best wish to a speedy recovery”.
