A true gentleman and a real loss
I was deeply shocked and saddened to wake up today to the dreadful news that Austin Hunter had been killed in a road accident in Bahrain.
So often when people pass on they are described as ‘a total gentleman’ – but in this case it is so true.
He was absolutely one of the nicest and most helpful journalists – let alone one of the most respected – I’ve ever had the privilege to meet during my career in the media.
I am really quite stunned at this terrible news.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
