At Age NI we can offer advice on welfare reform

The Age NI Advice Service currently receives more than 12,000 calls from older people, their carers and families.

Over recent weeks, we’ve noticed a rise in the number of calls about changes taking place to the benefits system as a result of welfare reform in Northern Ireland.

We’ve heard from many people who are concerned and confused about these changes – what they are and how they will be affected.

All too often people don’t know who to turn to for help or advice.

At Age NI, our team of experienced and friendly advisors are ready to listen to people’s concerns and can help to take the confusion out of welfare reform issues.

We also provide a free benefits check, helping people to find out about the support they might be entitled to and we can also assist people to apply.

Our service is available to everyone in Northern Ireland on freephone 0808 808 7575 and is completely confidential.
