British rule over the Irish is not legitimate

Ben Lowry ('˜We need to hear much more from British Muslim leaders about the problem of Islamic extremism,' June 5) stated that the SAS killings of eight IRA men at Loughgall in 1987 was 'clearly legitimate'.

Against that, above all else, Irish people have a fundamental right to govern themselves.

This means that British sovereignty over Irish people has no legitimacy.
