Churches to blame for Sabbath neglect
Last week voices were raised by concerned evangelical Christians in opposition to the Gran Fondo race being held on a Sunday, lamenting the disregard for the Lord's Day which is so evident in our Province.
This Sunday however several professed evangelical churches in the greater Belfast and North Down area chose to show the Northern Ireland match prior to their evening service.
When the visible church shows so little concern for a proper observation of the fourth commandment, something which entails more than just attending a church service, then how can we expect anything better from society at large?
