Do not forget the destruction of the unborn in the UK

Writing about the historical news story of babies buried at a mother-and-babies home, managed by Bon Secours Catholic Nuns, in Tuam, Co Galway, in the last century, Sandra Chapman writes (March 11), 'Sadly it will further taint the average northerner's view of the south at a sensitively political time.'

I don’t think all the facts pertaining to this matter are yet available, and, so, it is presumptive to rush to a final judgement.

Furthermore, it is wrong of Ms Chapman to pass condemnation on all the million plus people of the South (of Ireland) regarding and arising from this historical event.

I would like to point out to Ms Chapman that thousands of deliberately destroyed unborn babies were, and are being, unceremoniously consigned to unmarked “burials” in the UK.

If Ms Chapman is genuine in her outrage about the historical events in Tuam, she should be even more outraged at what’s annually being done (by the UK state) to the hundred thousand plus unborn humankind, on her UK doorstep, and which currently totals many millions.
