EU might now finally stand with Israel against Islamic terror

Another day passes, and sadly another terrorist massacre occurs in a European city.

The symbolism of Brussels should not be overlooked, as it serves as the home base for the European Union and has also allowed itself to become a den of radical Islamists.

The attack on Tuesday should serve as a wake up call not just to Europe, but to European institutions as well.

The bomb attack that struck the metro system occurred at a station frequented by European Union officials, and this should be noted.

The EU as an organisation has been quite lackadaisical when it comes to combating extremism, especially with those groups originating in the Middle East.

Time and again, the European Union has come out against Israel, the only functioning democracy in the Middle East, and has served as apologists for Palestinian terrorism against Israeli civilians.

Since the attack in Brussels, various leaders and officials have come out and have expressed their rage and sorrow at the barbarity of the attacks.

And yet, these same officials either stand silent or work to justify similar attacks when they are directed against Israeli civilians.

For decades, Israelis have had their buses, cafes, schools, and malls bombed by Islamic militants. And for decades, the governments of Europe have turned blind eyes and/or have demanded Israel capitulate to Palestinian demands.

The countries of Europe, save a select few, have never stood side by side with Israel when she faced these terrorist attacks. Nor did they ever provide the metaphorical ear or shoulder to express sympathy and support for her.

Terrorism is terrorism. A bus blown up in Tel Aviv is just as horrendous as one going off on a main shopping street in Istanbul, a metro station in Brussels, a concert in Paris.

The nations of the West must stand by side, totally and completely, against terrorism. It does not matter if the bomb comes from ISIS, or Hamas, or Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or al Qaeda.

All these venomous groups have the same poisonous roots.

I hope the attacks yesterday have shaken these hypocrite politicians and organisations awake from their naive slumber. I hope they change their tunes and realise that the horrors of yesterday play out in Israel everyday.

And I hope they will finally stand side by side with Israel in this war against Islamic extremism. If they do not and continue to keep their heads in the sand, I fear, more and more attacks will continue to plague the continent.
