Ian Paisley Jr: DUP discussed Brexit with Villiers

Today I led a DUP delegation including East Belfast MP Gavin Robinson and Lord Maurice Morrow to meet with the Secretary of State Theresa Villiers to discuss the future of Northern Ireland following Brexit.

The group discussed preparatory work on Brexit negotiations and also used the opportunity to raise various other issues, including agriculture, trade, business and investment and communities.

It was a positive meeting in which the Secretary of State offered a useful ear and thoughtful consideration to the issues that were raised and I am delighted that she is across the detail of all of these concerns.

We offered her our full support and we agreed that securing the best for Northern Ireland remains the main focus and priority.
