It is not anti Jewish to criticise Israeli terrorism

The UN estimated that during the Gaza War of 2014 1,462 Palestinian civilians were killed, including 299 women and 551 children. 3,436 Palestinian children and 3,540 Palestinian women were injured in the hostilities. There were 6,000 IDF airstrikes against Gaza – one of most densely populated areas of the world. This is terrorism. This was an international war crime. And then laughingly, people try to link criticism of Israeli terrorism with hatred of Jews.

Harold Ohayon (whose letter, ‘Fomenting...’ August 29) may lament the sight of “Israeli flags being desecrated in the streets of Belfast” but he really needs to get a life and see that the actions of the IDF in August 2014 destroyed thousands of innocent lives whereas the other is solely a wanton act of vandalism. But something tells me that the letter-writer plays with a different logic and will see in what I’ve just written as solely me expressing my innate hatred of everything Jewish.

And so the mad, mad, mad, mad world revolves another bit.
