Naomi Long, our justice minister, Sinn Fein MP John Finucane and SDLP MP Claire Hanna have all issued stark warnings to the DUP and UUP against giving ‘status’ to paramilitaries/terrorists linked to the Loyalist Communities Council (LCC(.

It is a pity they were not around 30 years ago to issue the same warnings to John Hume when he decided to talk to the republican terrorists who had inflicted widespread death, injury and destruction
