Bangor to Carrickfergus is a better bridge proposal than to Scotland
Speaking of bridges: forget Boris Johnson’s bridge to bonny Scotland. It is a bridge too far!
A bridge from Bangor (North Down coast) to Carrickfergus — less than seven English miles — is a much more realistic proposal at a fraction of the cost and shortening the route from the North Down area to Antrim, avoiding Belfast and reducing traffic distance and saving on fuel.
A great plus for the environment and home in time for tea!
I suggest the MLAs on both sides of the Lough should give serious consideration to asking the Northern Ireland Assembly to carry out a feasibility study for a project.
