Boris Johnson has no shame and is no gentleman

August 2020. Boris Johnson solemnly promised: “There will be no border down the Irish Sea – over my dead body.”

Today there is a border and Boris is still alive.

In days gone by any gentleman in his high position in public life and guilty of such scandalously dishonest behaviour would have, out of sheer shame, honoured the second half of his promise with a revolver in his study.

Unfortunately it seems words like honour and shame are absent from the prime minsiter’s lexicon.

And when speaking of him, the word gentleman is absent from mine and I suspect that of a great many more people in the six counties.
