Bring the whole rotten Stormont edifice crashing down round Brandon Lewis’s ears

The wee boy stands there all innocent with a brown sticky mess all over his face ‘No Mammy I didn’t steal the chocolate out of the fridge.’

That’s a lot more credible denial than Brandon Lewis’s risible attempt to make us believe there’s no Irish Sea border. Aye right Brando.

Wee boys who pinch chocolate and lie about it tend to go over Daddy’s knee for a spanking. So what should happen to a much naughtier little Brandon?

I would have thought that after such an act of betrayal and the dishonest denial, our habitually supine unionist politicians might chastise the little fibber by at last developing some vestige of a spine, at least sufficient to give Lewis hell and then bring the whole rotten Stormont edifice crashing down round his ears.

We can only live in hope. But I fear events will very likely turn out like Granny’s old saying — live in hope die in despair.
