Common sense must prevail so that a man who is self isolating over Covid-19 is allowed to attend his wife’s burial outside

I have been so sad to read reports that Tom Best in Fermanagh could not get to the graveside of his wife Anne, who died of Covid 19 and was buried at Derrylin.

He has to self-isolate for 14 days.

This has got to be wrong. He could and should have been there. This was outside so there was no problem.

Some common sense must prevail in this lockdown.

I think your newspaper is in such a good position to maybe highlight and ease this pain on these occasions.
