Concerns about becoming semi detached from internal markets

I see that Bertie Ahern is becoming concerned that the Republic may become ‘semi-detached’ from the EU Single Market with a sea border between the Republic and the rest of the EU.

I am concerned that Northern Ireland may become ‘semi-detached’ from the UK internal market because of a sea border between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
