Boris Johnson’s chicanery has committed him to a dirty deal which puts Northern Ireland under Dublin-Brussels control. Unionist weakness has been ruthlessly exploited by the prime minister.

All executive ministers at Stormont have settled for NI being forced to resettle under EU laws, rules and regulations.

Be they remainers or leavers unionists will combine to resist Northern Ireland being cut adrift from the Union.

Not knowing where the future lies constitutionally and economically creates uncertainty when politics and business should be planning together to rebuild Northern Ireland post coronavirus.

Viperish republicans will thrust the Tory betrayal home.

It beggars belief that the unionist leaderships are so distant from their core support they seem not to see the writing on the wall, and are not leading the counteraction and standing up for the Union.
