Easter Rising video message was an insult to victims of PIRA terrorism

In the midst of our coronavirus life and death crisis Sinn Fein/IRA released an Easter Video as their commemoration of the ‘Rising’.

All of the usual ‘human rights’ advocates participated in the video.

For her part the proud, unrepentant, convicted terrorist (PUCT), Martina Anderson Sinn Fein MLA, solemnly intoned:

‘We place the cause of the Irish Republic under the protection of the Most High God,

‘Whose blessing we invoke upon our arms, and we pray that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, inhumanity, or rapine.’

Even by PUCT Anderson’s standards this was insulting not only to God and those republican terrorists slaughtered over 30 years, but to those who scripted the Proclamation.

The awful truth is that PIRA, during their 30 year blood soaked campaign did the exact opposite.

They constantly acted as craven cowards, displaying a total lack of humanity as they set about murdering innocents on an industrial scale.

Endless examples are the foul execution of Jean McConville, the brutal death they inflicted on the innocents of La Mon, the mass murders of Darkley, Teebane, Kingsmills, Claudy not to mention the murders of Paul Quinn and Robert McCartney.

Regarding ‘Rapine’ they ignored that in spades by robbing banks, post offices and kidnapping and torturing innocents, like Thomas Niedermayer for ransom.

Above all they robbed children of their parents and thousands of their future.

PIRA also had in their ranks those who carried out rapes.

If PUCT Anderson believes that her invoking the Most High God will absolve PIRA of their crimes then she is as deluded as the Londonderry Cleric who tried to portray Martin McGuinness as a saint.
