Enough is enough: time to wake from this Covid trance!

We have had months of enduring a totally unnecessary and, some are now questioning, if-at-all-legal lockdown, imposed on us in such draconian fashion by an ill-advised government who seem to thrive on constantly feeding the hysterical doom, gloom and despair – which only goes to heighten fear and paranoia which is spreading faster than any virus.

Then instead of trying to undo some of the devastating and catastrophic effects of lockdown, we are forced to live with the most ridiculous rules and restrictions that are having a detrimental effect on people’s lives and mental health. They’re continually reminding those already obsessed with the rising ‘R’ number instead of dealing immediately with the rising ‘W’ number (waiting lists).

Worst of all this tyrannical law of face masks. Is this legal? Sadly, the vast majority rigorously comply with this, even going as far as masking children. Shocking behaviour.

Enforcing this is a gross misuse of political power, a breach of human rights and basic civil liberties. It is every person’s God-given right to breathe the fresh air that God has provided for us. He alone holds every breath in His hands. No mask can add one day; what next? Helmets and boiler suits?

I read an interesting article by Dominic Sandbrook in Saturday’s Daily Mail.

It said: ‘No lockdown, No masks, No hysteria, No problem. Sweden didn’t put schools, workers and families into a corona coma.’

So why has this country totally overreacted? Time to awaken from this Covid trance. Churches need to do the same.

All denominations willingly accepted churches to be deemed non-essential. Not one raised a finger in protest. They are now happily encouraging and supporting masks, along with ludicrous and abominable restrictions set by Foster and O’Neill instead of following God’s law.

This only exposes the mess the churches are in and the depths they have plummeted to. Perhaps would have been better to stay closed.

Time to wake up. Get back to work, get back to school, get back to normality and bin the masks.
