Flu has almost disappeared this year

As cases of Covid-19 have gone up globally, flu cases have practically disappeared across the world.

As of September 7, the flu tracker, FluMart (developed by the World Health Organisation), has recorded just 12 lab-confirmed flu cases worldwide.

Could it be that the numbers of Covid deaths have been augmented by the addition of flu deaths?

If so, this would lesson the reality of the impact Covid has had on our lives, would make a mockery of the severe restrictions imposed on everyone, and dampen the obsessive push for a vaccine against the disease.
