Impotent and lamentable unionist leadership

In Friday’s paper there is a letter by David NcNarry which would broadly reflect the opinion of the wider unionist community at present.

(The letter can be read here: ‘Brexit was not the risk or problem for unionists, it was trusting the Irish not to interfere in our affairs,’ July 24).

Three words that jump out of his letter are impotency, pitiful and lamentable.

In his last paragraph he states that there is a challenge for the unionist leaderships, unfortunately those same three words describe exactly the current state of the leadership of both main unionist parties.
