It is hard to see how anyone could place trust in Boris Johnson

A letter from Dr Gerald Morgan:

Letter to the editor

Re ‘Arlene Foster Should quit as leader of DUP and no unionist should vote for a party involved in the Irish Sea border betrayal’ (The letter can be read here, December 15)

I shall never understand the Irish, whether unionist or nationalist.

How anyone could place trust in an Old Etonian opportunist such as Boris Johnson (Balliol College, Oxford) is beyond my comprehension.

Boris Johnson has appointed his brother (Eton and Balliol), a Remainer, to the House of Lords.

The odd peerage to a Northern Irish unionist is still sufficient to buy him or her off.

How pathetic.

They have no pride.

Dr Gerald Morgan, Ex leader, English Parliamentary Party, Dublin
