Letter: Drivers must remember that speeding kills people so common sense must be used at all times
A letter from Lawrence Wallace:

It is distressing to hear again of young people losing their lives in road accidents.
Like my peers who have held a driving licence for many years, my early years were spent driving on roads that were winding and narrow with many more agricultural vehicles and fog to contend with.
We were aware that ignoring good road sense was foolish.

Nowadays, we are told that to avoid traffic accidents we should straighten our narrow winding roads, for example the A5.
Many of our oldies would not disagree with that proposal but it is important not to undermine the responsibility of each driver to drive using their common sense and remember that speed can kill.
