The class envy of socialism has reared its ugly head again and the farming industry is being persecuted.

National action is being organised.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves is putting tax on fuel costs for red diesel used for tractors, a key component for productive farms.

Not many Champagne Labour MPs in city constituencies will identify with combine harvesters as they drive their 4x4s, unaware they eat farm produce in those trendy wine bars.

Campaign groups have warned ministers that they will block roads as a protest if they don't make cuts in costs.

These tactics have worked in Germany and the Republic of Ireland and an unpopular Labour government could be in for trouble, with many wanting Ms Reeve's wings clipped.

We need farms to feed us sustenance, not politicians to feed us diatribe!
