Letter: Integration in Northern Ireland is nothing but a pipe dream - unionists should avoid border polls and all-Ireland forums
A letter from John Mulholland:

With all the messages about integration in Northern Ireland and even in this paper - whether that be schools or housing of different cultures, unionist and republicans singing off the same hymn sheet in terms of making Northern Ireland work – it is surely a pipe dream.
People living in middle class areas have little knowledge of living in areas where illegal immigrants live or at the coalface of sectarian attacks.
While Sinn Fein continues to hate all things British, bar the money - unionists/Protestants included - there can never be normal politics in Northern Ireland while we have a fifth column in Northern Ireland government.

Those who call for a border poll to antagonise unionists or those who call for all-Ireland forums are trying to fool unionists into a false sense of security.
Unionists left in the 26 counties either emigrated or kept their heads down and said little about Britishness except maybe at Rossnowlagh once a year. This saw the unionist population diminish greatly.
Unionists should avoid border polls and any talk of all-Ireland forums as any trace of Britishness would be swallowed up by republicans and an aggressive nationalist Ireland unwilling to change.
