Meghan Markle is not the first person of mixed race to marry into the royals

Meghan is surely not the first person of colour or mixed race to marry into the royal family in recent times.

In 2004 the Duke of Gloucester’s daughter Lady Davina married Gary Lewis, of Maori descent.

He was warmly welcomed and supported into the Windsor family circle.
