As it became more apparent, day by day, that the European Union was financially fleecing the British people, via their membership of the EU, the public were given a say in whether or not the UK should leave.

Certain non-political but very wealthy British citizens did too.

The result of this referendum was a majority vote telling the political leaders to take Britain out of the European Union.

This, needless to say, caused mayhem, and exposed those politicians whose apparent principal purpose was and still is, to financially line their own pockets with their handsome salaries, rather than govern for the best interests of the British electorate.
