I fully agree with Rev Mark Wilson’s letter of December 31 regarding the treatment of Rev Dr Harry Allen and Rev Sam Hutchinson by a senior NIO official and the British ambassador to Dublin in 1996.

The display of arrogance,ignorance and disrespect on that occasion is still prevalent today — the Irish Sea border courtesy of the English Conservative Party and leader Boris Johnson!
