The lockdown guidelines in Northern Ireland are full of subjectivity

Robin Swann noted, quite rightly, that people are easing up on their efforts, are going out more, driving more etc.

He begged them not to, so lives can be saved.

I would imagine one of the main reasons why people have become complacent is this crazy piece of work by the executive on Friday:

On exercise, it says that a drive to a safe space or facility would be permitted under the regulations.

However, “taking a long drive to a beach or resort where numbers of people may gather is unlikely to be regarded as reasonable”.

How that made it easier for police to enforce lockdown is beyond me.

It is full of subjectivity.

What is a long drive? Where are numbers of people likely to gather? Unlikely to be regarded as reasonable, but could be regarded as reasonable?

Any surprise people think the regulations have been relaxed?
