The media coverage of the protests against Covid rules is not real journalism

If you want false news, just keep relying on the British mainstream media for your news.

The vast majority of protesters at Trafalgar Square on Saturday were against the British government’s reaction to the coronavirus — a reaction totally out of proportion to the danger posed by the disease.

No one is denying Covid-19 exists. But to call these protesters ‘Covid-deniers’ is outlandish.

This isn’t real journalism and the creators of these headlines and articles are involved in roguery. This is perception management of the gravest, Orwellian character.

It is frightening to live in these times when people’s right to protest is being taken away; and when there is a protest, the attendees’ reasons for protesting are being falsified deliberately, in my opinion.

Cases of Covid-19 are increasing because there is more testing being done. It doesn’t mean the disease is spreading faster. In the vast majority of these cases, the people are in good health.

In a month when the British government has announced an extra £500m towards testing, is it any wonder ‘cases’ are on the increase?
