The News Letter is a sounding board for unionism

A letter from Harry Patterson:

Unionism is in a bad place at present.

It would be in a worse place if it didn’t have the News Letter to promote its cause, act as a sounding board and highlight the good and the very bad among our representatives.

March 16’s paper was especially good — Sam McBride’s article on internal DUP trouble (see link below).

One point that stood out to me was the fact that it was said at the reported meeting that Arlene Foster needs to sell the new deal, new approach including the Irish Language Act to unionists — they have learnt nothing. The ILA is almost as unpopular among unionists as the protocol but they are still prepared to push it anyway.

Jamie Bryson is spot on too (see link below). The PSNI will do anything other than upset SF and nationalists but as for the rest of us, well then we are here for the taking.

Kid gloves on for republicans but they come off sharpish for BLM and unionists.
