Dear trader,

I hope this letter finds you and your teams well and keeping safe in these difficult and confusing times.

In particular, this must be a challenging period for your Northern Ireland businesses and your customers as the regulatory consequences of Brexit and the Northern Ireland protocol become all too clear.

We have been covering the story — such as the difficulties in supply of fresh foods — in detail in the News Letter, with our Group Political Editor Sam McBride digging deep into the detail of the issue and holding politicians both in Westminster and Stormont to account.

This is a confusing time as Covid grips the UK nations, and the shortages for NI shoppers due to Brexit is adding to the mix of uncertainty — I am sure you would agree at times like this communication is key.

With this in mind I wanted to point out that the trusted News Letter — and the whole JPIMedia portfolio of titles covering a wide area of the province — offers an ideal platform for communication with your shoppers and there are various ways in which we can help you to talk to them and support them at this time.

My talented colleagues in the NI commercial team can offer a wide range of online advertising and social media channels, and we can provide the assistance and support of our commercial editor Kathryn McKenna who can deal with sponsored content and other packages that do not look like traditional advertising, offering new ways to carry a clear message to readers.

In addition we also have the technical capacity to carry innovative advertising models such as supplements, unusual ad shapes and front and back page advertising wraps.

The editorial and commercial teams work closely together here in NI and if there is anything we can do to support your businesses at this critical moment, or any ideas you have I have not mentioned above, please let me know.
