This part of Ireland is not yet independent
Could you please inform Stephen Cooper (May 11) that he still lives in British occupied six counties, which the last time I looked was the last remnants of the British empire.
(The letter can be read here: ‘Flag did not fly at Stormont because of the intolerance of republicans, yet it was the IRA who were friends of the Nazis’)
So to date this part of Ireland has got neither its freedom or independence, but hopefully some day soon we will be free of British rule just like the other 26 counties of Ireland.
