Unionism remains in a strong position

In his recent visit to Davos President Donald Trump criticised the prophets of doom who constantly play up fears of the future.

Here in Northern Ireland we have our own prophets of doom, for example we have Alex Kane who seems to spend most of his time criticising unionism in particular.

I would say to such people give it a rest. Unionism is in good shape.

The recent general election showed that unionism was the clear winner in terms of votes cast. The system of government at Stormont is undemocratic but in spite of that unionism remains strong and dedicated to the Union.

What is urgently needed are English language classes to meet the needs of thousands of new immigrants rather than wasting money on needless Irish and Ulster Scots languages. In fact Ulster Scots is not even a language.
