We’ve already seen glimpses of what a SF-run united Ireland would be like

Recently a local radio presenter asked if the Bobby Storey funeral told us about what life in an united Ireland would be like with Sinn Fein in the driving seat.

Would it be an utopian society of equals, or a society in which it was one rule for republicans and a different set of rules for the rest of us?

In Irish society funeral wakes are a long standing tradition, be they fuelled by whiskey or tea and tray bakes.

Yet we were told that they had to be suspended for the greater good – and largely these rules were adhered to.

For many this represented a painful sacrifice, which was made all-the-more painful by the sight of the republican movement thumbing their noses at the rest of us and organising a funeral with a cast of thousands.

So what would life be like in a Sinn Fein dominated Ireland?

Great for ‘themselves alone’.

But for the rest of us...?
