Motorists suffer interminable works

For over a year motorists have had to endure the apparently interminable road works in the Belfast area (especially Knock) which are no doubt necessary but would have caused less convenience if carried out on an orderly piecemeal manner with consequent deferred capital costs.

Motorists pay substantial road taxes but are excluded at given times from bus lanes and left in continual fear of infringing the traffic laws to the extent that many are now reluctant to enter the city centre.

They are constantly spied upon and their role is to pay more and more for less and less.

Will this harassment go on for ever and is the government determined to put all motorists off the road altogether?
