My wife has an ongoing medical problem that needs surgery, and has recently visited the City Hospital in Belfast.

While there, she had an appointment with a senior surgeon, who advised her that she would have to wait for at least a year for surgery.

When I questioned the surgeon about the waiting time, he said, and I quote: “Don’t blame me, blame Stormont.”

It is now very obvious to me that the money is there in Stormont, but there is no MLA to sign it out.
