Paul Berry: Pan nationalist front using Brexit to scaremonger about a hard border
Over many months I have listened to all ranges of people scaremongering about the border and the possibility of checkpoints appearing again along the border, we even had republicans on a PR exercise with border checkpoints.
The fact is that the pan nationalist front are using the Brexit/border Issue in their narrow-minded political way and scaremongering about a hard border.
If they had the interests of Northern Ireland plc at heart they would be standing with the DUP / UUP to demand the removal of the backstop and work with all concerned and delivering for NI plc in the whole Brexit process instead of coming out with tripe about a united Ireland and creating more division.
There will be no military checkpoints returned to the border but of course there never would have been but for the PIRA bloody campaign since the 70s.
